Hand signals are also designed to serve the same purpose of informing and directing road users, Hand signals are used by drivers and operators of the pedal and motorized cycles to communicate their intentions to other road users.
Types of Hand Signals
1. Signals by Road Users: This is done by a road user by/with his/her arm/hand to let other motorists (road users) or traffic control officers know what he/she intends to do.
2. Signals by Authorized Officers/persons: These are signals done by traffic officers, road marshals, police and another authorized person (s) through giving hand directions/signals.
