Definition and Explanation of Federalism: Federalism is the amalgamation of states into a single, strong and indivisible political entity otherwise known as a country. Federalism can also mean a country made up of a number of states united to form one political entity.

Federalism is usually composed of people of diverse ethnic groups, cultures and languages amalgamated into one strong country with central and state/regional governments. Federalism is also known as a federation.
