About keypoint.ng
keypoint.ng gives free revision notes for the O-level subjects Nigerian students write in WAEC (WASSCE), NECO (SSCE) and NABTEB. Each page answers one exam topic as a numbered list of points, the way the question is set in the exam hall.
What we cover
Civic Education, Government, Economics, Commerce, Financial Accounting, History, Geography, Literature-in-English, Chemistry and Computer Studies. The notes are for SS1 to SS3 students revising what they were taught in class, and for teachers who want a quick checklist of points.
Where the notes come from
- The WAEC and NECO syllabuses for each subject, which decide the topics we cover.
- Standard senior secondary school textbooks used in Nigerian schools.
- WAEC Chief Examiner’s reports, which publish past questions and the points examiners expected candidates to give. Where a page quotes a past question, it names the paper and the sitting.
- Primary documents for facts that change: the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended), Acts of the National Assembly and official agency publications. Pages that state a law, penalty or date cite the document it comes from.
Editorial standards
- Every point should be one an examiner would accept. Points we cannot support from the syllabus, a textbook or an official source are removed.
- Each point is followed by a short explanation, so you can write it in full sentences in the exam. We are adding explanations to the most-read pages first.
- Full meanings of acronyms (INEC, NAPTIP, NDLEA) are given on first use, because exams ask for them.
- We do not show dates on notes pages. When a fact changes, such as a new law replacing an old one, we update the page and say which law applies now.
Corrections
If a point is wrong, missing or unclear, tap Report a problem at the bottom of any page and tell us what to fix. We read every report. Recent fixes came straight from these reports, including a corrected list of the features of the Clifford Constitution and a fuller list of the problems of civil society.
Independence
keypoint.ng is an independent website. It is not run by or connected to WAEC, NECO, NABTEB or JAMB. The site is free to use and is supported by advertising. Ads never decide what a page says.
