What Is Traffic?
Traffic is the movement of a number of vehicles, motorcycles, pedestrians and animals along the road at a particular point in time. To ensure decorum on the road, certain rules and regulations are made to help inform, instruct, direct and control all road users for easy, smooth, safe and free flow of traffic.
Traffic Rules and Regulations are therefore set of codes or laws made by the government through the traffic authorities like the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) to help inform, instruct, direct and regulate the behavior and conduct of road users while on the road. Traffic rules and regulations are meticulously and purposely designed and made to create a safer road culture among road users. The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) was established in 1988 by the Federal Government of Nigeria with the sole intention of concertizing Nigerian road users on road safety matters and accident prevention control programmes.
