Citizenship education is the practical study and knowledge of the legal rights, virtues, privileges and obligations of citizens vis-à-vis their role in the socio-cultural, political, economic and democratic development of their state/country.
It is the type of education that teaches citizens the principles of good citizenship; that is primarily concerned with the rights and obligations/duties of citizens in the society vis-à-vis their roles in the socio-economic, cultural and political development of their state! country.
