Different types of money exist and they are:
- Cash: i.e. coins and notes. This type of money is known own as the legal tender.
- Bank deposits transferable by cheques.
- Near money such as “Time deposit”, government securities, Trade Credit e.g. Bill of exchange.
- Token money.
- Community money.
