FACTORS THAT MILITATED AGAINST THE DEVELOPMENT OF COMMERCE IN WEST AFRICA

The development of commercial activities in West African countries was delayed as a result of the following factors.

  1. Inadequate provision of capital
  2. Low savings by both the government and V individuals.
  3. Inadequate infrastructural facilities. 
  4. Poor transportation and communication network.
  5. Political instability. 
  6. Low demand for goods and services.
