PORTS AUTHORITY: This is a statutory body or organ created by law and empowered to regulate and control all sea route transportation. Ports are places where ships anchor and berth. The Ports Authority controls the Nigerian seaports. Seaports in Nigeria are Apapa wharf – Lagos, Abonima wharf – Port Harcourt, Warri/Sapele and Calabar.
