Scanners are of two types, which include:
(i) a small and cheaper (hand held) one that is run over the image.
(ii) One that looks like a photocopier in which you put the image that is to be scanned into the scanner, the same way you operate your photocopiers.
USE: Both are used to input (transfer) images and pictures from paper into the computer memory for display on the screen.
