PUBLIC COMPLAINTS COMMISSION: Also known as Ombudsman, this commission is an institution established by the government to investigate, examine and report complaints made by ordinary people about administrative inefficiency, corruption, injustice, unfair treatment and abuse of office by over-zealous public officeholders. The Ombudsman is a government official whose duty is to investigate such cases and recommend disciplinary measures.
