Map reading is a branch of Geography that deals with the recognition and interpretation of conventional signs and symbols as used on maps. It is the ability to describe what the signs and symbols represent.
A Map is a drawing and/or a representation of the earth’s surface, which shows both the physical and human features of an area SO mapped or drawn e.g. Map of Nigeria. In drawing a map, the conventional signs and symbols are usually taken into cognizance.
