Half-life is the time taken for a radioactive element to decay to half of its original mass. It is represented by t½

t½ = 0.693 / λ

Where λ = decay constant

Nt = Noe-2t

Nt = mass present at a given time

No = original mass of a radioactive element

λ = Time taken for the element to decay.
