The Drug Law Enforcement is a federal government agency established under Decree No. 48 of 1990.
As a government agency, the drug law enforcement agency is saddled with the responsibility of eliminating the growing, processing, manufacturing, selling, exporting and trafficking of hard drugs.
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) are the leading agency of this establishment in Nigeria and are mandated to carry out the coordination of all drug law and enforcement functions granted or any person, company or authority, including government officials within the territorial boundaries of Nigeria.
